Who We Are

We are a youth-led organization accountable to our communities and committed to supporting black and brown people to build our power.

The term NoCap means no lies; no more half-solutions.  We organize Black and Brown students on college campuses, especially Historically Black College University campuses (HBCUs), as well as young folks in surrounding communities. Our work, is our voice.  Through each campaign, we proudly say NO CAP. Whether canceling student, police and prison reform, or voting rights, it’s NO CAP for us.

WhAt We Do

We build our base year-round through racial and economic justice campaigns and civic engagement.

North Carolina’s Historically Black College Universities are typically located in the heart of the Black community, which gives us the opportunity to tailor our programming to students and non-student youth.

We organize black and brown students on HBCU campuses, and young people in our communities. While not all Black and brown communities are the same, we believe that together, we can change the face of the civic engagement and advance new visions for justice.

Current partner universities include North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University (NC A&T); North Carolina Central University (NCCU); Winston-Salem State University; Shaw University ; St. Augustine’s College; Johnson C. Smith University; University of North Carolina; Duke Univerisy ; NC State University; and Appalachian State University.
